Wow! Life is a test, life is a trust and life is a temporary assignment! So profound. I've been through a number of tests some easy some hard. Some I passed others I failed and had to retake. Some quite a few times. But I thank God that he loved me enough to keep teaching me.

I know I have failed God in so many ways. Money seems to be the test and trust that I have the most difficulty with and struggle to this day to gain control over. But God has placed me in the right spiritual home and I'm determined to earn my Father's trust back!

I should be living every day as if it were my last. "The closer you live to God, the smaller everything else appears". All of us need to re-evaluate our lives, change our values if needed; reorder our priorities and recognize that all those trivial things that we gossip about or hold onto are a waste of our precious time. I want to enjoy the unbroken fellowship with God that is promised to us. I want my inheritance and I look forward to being in heaven with Jesus Christ.

I have lived a lot of my life with guilt and driven by the need of approval. I'm still trying to find out who I am in the Lord and what my purpose is. I can say that the Lord is showing me why and what and how to overcome as well as guiding me on the path towards my purpose. I pray that it doesn't take any of you as long to realize your purpose.

I think the statement that stood out to me most in this chapter was "you were put here to prepare for eternity". I know that I will spend my eternity in Heaven. Now I'm working on what I will do there.

I'm finally learning to accept that my personality is quirky and that mug uniqueness is what the Word says is "set apart". My background isn't as rough as others, but as God has revealed to me recently, that is a testimony itself. Someone in my family had to believe in God and they had to be praying for their family. Otherwise I would not have always felt God's covering over me.

I have my journal from 2005 when I studied this book for the first time. My response to the Question to Consider at that time wasn't at all how I see things now.

"In spite of all the advertising around me, how can I remind myself that life is really about living for God not myself"

A six word phrase from this chapter stuck out to me as being the answer to this question. "Without God life makes no sense". I realize now more than ever that He is the reason I'm alive and for whom I should be living.
